CEC Phoenix has bolstered its Water Resources practice with the addition of Tracy Grunden, P.E., as a Principal.
Tracy brings more than 32 years of direct experience in multiple aspects of civil engineering. Having delivered projects for more than 30 municipal and regulatory clients throughout Arizona. “I am honored to join the more than 1,500 passionate professionals at CEC that have a personal stake in ensuring the success of our clients. I believe in CEC’s culture of personal accountability to build lasting relationships and deliver outstanding results for our clients,” Tracy says.
He has an extensive background in planning, design and construction administration associated with water supply, storage, pumping, transmission and distribution along with wastewater collection, pumping, conveyance, odor control, and minor water & wastewater plant improvements. Tracy’s pipeline experience includes the design, and construction of more than 860 miles of water and wastewater pipelines up to 130-inches in diameter, 62 water, wastewater and stormwater pump stations ranging from 0.2 to 25 mgd, 16 ground and elevated storage tanks, 13 wells and numerous PRV and meter stations. Innovative solutions developed with client and contractor partners have earned industry recognition by ACEC, APWA, and AZAGC.
He adds, “I have learned the importance of preparing quality deliverables providing function and value, meeting and exceeding schedules, and addressing potential issues during scoping, planning and design.”
Tracy earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Arizona.
