CEC began its formal summer internship program with the goal of expanding access to early-career experience across multiple offices and practices in the hopes of nurturing the best and brightest talent. Through our program, interns can expect to build a comprehensive skillset within their chosen field, obtain hands-on experience with client-based projects, and learn the values that guide CEC as a company.
Summer interns focus on the following:
- Acquire practical experience via the application of knowledge from college courses, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations
- Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities
- Collaborate closely with a mentor in their discipline to tackle real-world challenges
- Participate in workshops to help foster interpersonal skills within the workplace and prepare students for success in their full-time careers
Summer interns will be immersed in multiple workshops that strengthen communication skills, build confidence through engagement in early-career employee panels, and educate on the people and history of the company.
One specific workshop, Presentation Preparations, provides interns with the opportunity to demonstrate the projects and deliverables they have completed, as well as the skills they have gained during their time with CEC to their coworkers, fellow interns, and department leads.
