CEC is pleased to welcome Mike Calhoun, RPLS, to our Austin office as a Principal in the Survey + Geospatial practice.
Mike has more than 20 years of experience in leading survey operations across aviation, transportation, and civil infrastructure projects. His background includes managing large-scale survey programs, implementing innovative technologies such as mobile LiDAR and uncompacted surface models, and driving department-wide improvements aligned with strategic goals.
He has overseen multi-million-dollar construction and survey efforts, directed teams of survey managers and field crews, and introduced workflow enhancements that improved efficiency, safety, and quality. Michael’s leadership style emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement, making him a valuable addition to our team and a trusted partner to our clients.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and has been a Registered Professional Land Surveyor since 2010. He is also TxDOT pre-certified and has completed advanced training in Lean Construction, MicroStation Geopak, and Trimble Business Center.
